Vayujal (VJ-400 Lpd Unit) is a 400-liter water harvesting and purifying device that extracts water from atmospheric humidity. It aims to solve the global water shortage problem by utilizing abundant water molecules in the air. The device is also known for atmospheric water generators (AWGs) and is commercially available. It was designed by Ramesh Kumar, Ankit Nagar, and Prof T Pradeep as a startup in IIT Madras, India. It uses an 8 stage water purification system before it reaches the consumer and meet the WHO drinking water standards.
