All countries with developing markets. Emphasis in Madagscar and Kenya, with products also in Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Mauritius, Malawi, Rwanda, and South Africa.
Toughstuff micro-enterprise program – Business in a Box (BIAB) – trains and deploys Solar Village Entrepreneurs (SVE) to sell solar lanterns. Also partner with NGOs (such as Christian Aid).
Prices vary from $9 to ~$20 USD, although one source states that no ToughStuff product exceeds $10 USD.
