The O2 Cube is a solar-powered oxygen concentrator and compressor that supplies oxygen for use during both pre-hospital care and patient referral to the hospital. The system uses refillable oxygen cylinders.

This product was selected for inclusion in WHO’s 2021 Compendium of Innovative Health Technologies for Low‐Resource Settings.

The system combines the components of an oxygen concentrator, an oxygen compressor/filling station, solar panels, and pulse oximetry. It also relies on refillable oxygen cylinders.

The oxygen concentrator and compressor have a sealed enclosure. A filtration system is used to protect from dust and a de-humidification system regulates the internal humidity levels. Sealed Enclosure of the SPOCC provides a sound operating environment for the oxygen concentrator and compressor.

The O2 Cube fills Size “C/M9” oxygen cylinders at a rate of 110 min/cylinder. It is designed to supply up to 15 cylinders per week.
