The incubator is designed as an automated or semi-automated system for hatching poultry eggs for people who are not connected to the main grid or experience power cuts.
The lifeway solar poultry incubator is designed to hatch quail, chicken, turkey and goose eggs. The product is aimed to serve people who cannot access electricity or suffer from interruptions in power. It contains a fully automatic or semi-automatic heat control, and a cabinet made from fiber glass which supports effective incubation conditions for eggs. The product is designed and manufactured by Lifeway Solar Devices Pvt. Ltd at Cochin, Kerala.

The product is distributed in India through the rural innovation fund, and by the UN in Zimbabwe under the African Poverty Eradication program.
