The Human Waste Bioreactor uses sewage to generate electricity with the intent of saving the forest cover by providing an alternative to fuel power. The system was designed by a team of students from Kenya, led by Leroy Mwasaru (who was 17 years old at the time). The product was specifically created for learning institutions and prisons, environments where sewage can be a concern.
