Gokada is an application for bike taxis. All bikes on the app are above 200cc which enables them to travel on all roads in Lagos, Nigeria. Drivers can be hailed on the street or can be requested via the application. For safety purposes, drivers are required to pass a phsychometric and driving test, and are extensively trained in defensive driving behavior. Drivers are equipped with two helmets, one for the driver and one for the passenger.

Commuters can hail a Gokada driver on the road or request one via the application or website to move around Lagos in Nigeria. The app uses GPS to link the user to a nearby Gokada motorcycle taxi driver. The drivers are trained in defensive driving behavior and are required to pass phsychometric and driving tests. The user enters desired pickup and destination locations which are then confirmed by a call from the verified assigned driver. Upon reaching the destination, the application calculates the trip fare which the user pays in cash.
