Product description Brand name and product description

The d.Light X-series are a family of Solar Home Systems (SHSs) developed by d.Light Design; the X500, X850, X1000 and X2000 are the models currently available.

The X-series SHSs provide home lighting, device charging and appliance powering capabilities through an energy system composed of a solar panel and a lithium iron phosphate battery. Systems include two to four hanging LED bulbs and an LED tube light each with wall switches as well as a d.Light TV (size varies from 19″ – 32″). Larger models also offer a portable torch and an FM radio, and a compatible d.Light fan can be purchased separately and powered by the system. The systems have Pay-As-You-Go functionality, the battery pack has an LCD screen to indicate state of charge and the LED bulbs are fully dimmable.

The X-series competes with kerosene lamps and solar lanterns for household and business lighting, though these typically cannot provide charging capabilities and cannot power appliances.

The primary competitors for the X-series SHSs are other solar home systems with capacity to power appliances such as The 1kWp Pack from SolarNow, the Azuri 50W, TV120 Solar Home System from Azuri Technologies Ltd., the Simpa Solar Home System from Simpa Networks, the Mobisol Solar Home System from ENGIE Mobisol GmbH, the M-KOPA IV Solar Home System from M-KOPA Solar, the Barefoot Connect 620 from Barefoot Power, the BBOXX Kit from BBOXX and the SELCO 50W Module from Selco.

A wide variety of Solar Home Systems are detailed in the E4C solutions library and a complete list of Solar Home Systems certified by Lighting Global can be found on their website.
